Being Square Isn’t All Bad
Beautiful piece of 1/2″ carbon steel passing through today. Material was cut on our 10K Fiber Laser and formed on our Bystronic Press Brake. This particular part was made out of (2) pieces and then welded together. Weld was ground flush & blended and the exterior is now one seamless piece. Armed Forces Day 2022
While Veterans’ Day celebrates the service of all U.S. military veterans, and Memorial Day honors those who died serving in American wars, Saturday, May 21st is Armed Forces Day. President Truman led the effort for this holiday to honor those currently serving in the U.S. military. Armed Forces Day was first celebrated May 1950. Then in 1961, President Kennedy signed a proclamation declaring it a national holiday to be celebrated on every 3rd Saturday in May. Large Tanks In Progress!
Work continues on an order of large tanks in the shop this week. Tanks are made of 1/4″ Stainless Steel and hold 430 gallons. Fully loaded, they weigh over 6,000 pounds! LJ Fab is able to fabricate these units completely in house with our 10K Fiber Laser, 352 Ton Press Brake, and state of the art Welding equipment. After each unit is fabricated, leak testing is performed before shipping to our customer. A blanket PO was provided and delivery arrangements were made to accommodate the customer’s needs over the next several months. Contact LJ Fab today to see how we can help you with your next project!
