As a celebration of 40 years in business, LJ Fab employees were given off an additional day this year. Several of the team got together and had a great day on the golf course. Flag Day 2023
Today (June 14th) commemorates the adoption of the American flag by Congress 246 years ago (1777). Flag Day was officially declared a holiday on August 3rd, 1949 by President Harry S. Truman.A few interesting facts about the American flag: Our current flag was designed by 17-year old high school student – Robert Heft Robert came up with the idea while working on an assignment for History class in 1958 His flag design was selected from more than 1,500 entries Under President Dwight Eisenhower, it became the nation’s official banner on July 4th, 1960 The 50-star flag has flown the longest of any U.S. Flag (63 years in July) Come to visit LJ Fabricators and you will see that we proudly display several American flags throughout our facility.
